What is God’s definition of Love?
“Love is patient, love is kind, it doesn’t envy, it doesn’t boast, it is not proud.”
-1 Corinthians 13:4
The love of God, the love for God or the love by God is the actions and attitudes that create an atmosphere of kindness towards God,
God is love which leads Him to manifest His affection in acts of love to us, His love is generous, merciful, gracious, boundless, measureless, extravagant and unconditional.
What is to love God?
As we read (Mark 12:30) is the most important commandment, what does it mean?
Loving God means being completely devoted to Him,rejecting all evil no matter how tempting they are, obeying, having faith in Him and His word,worshiping and praising Him,to put Him first, to desire Him, yearn for His righteousness and expecting nothing in return as this is glorifying who He is!
Jesus replied:”love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind, this is the first and greatest commandment.”
-(Matthew 22:37-38)
Nobody wants to live without God’s love manifesting, we all want to live a captivating life that brings the fulfillment of God’s love. Jesus tells us to love with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and we ought to follow His commands. But how do we do it?

Loving God with all your heart means living a purpose-driven life which requires us to get intimate with God so that He leads our lives. Once we obey His commands,our lives will change, we will experience His love, and sharing that love with all our heart is important.
Loving God for eternity and unconditionally because we know that He deserves it. Even when we feel like He doesn’t love us, or when it feels like He has abandoned us: even though He never leaves us.
To love God with all our hearts is an exercise,one way to do that is by praying and reading the bible. God’s word reveals who Jesus is to us, we get to see more of the Lord’s goodness in our lives.
Our love to God should be greater than our love to other people and what we possess. The best illustration of love is dedication, God’s love must persist in our lives. Remember that biblical love is not only an emotion since feelings change,it’s derived from who God is, therefore, it is a choice to do something motivated by the strong love for God.
Conclusion.
As followers of Christ, we are called to love God with all our hearts,souls, mind and strength. We diminish the meaning of love when we view it as simply a feeling, love is more than that!
When the Bible places ‘God’s love’ in the context of love, it becomes the force of strength for not only our hearts but encourages our hearts and thoughts about Him. Loving God motivates our decisions!
All God asks of us is to love Him with all our heart and put Him at the front and center of our lives.
